In this lecture (PHL 260 Ethical Issues, Mar. 17, 2016), I discuss the book Economics for Helen by Hilaire Belloc. The goal of the lecture to introduce various economic theories and then think critically about the contemporary economic state of our country and the world. The students heard about distributism for the first and seemed to like it. I also introduced them to the work of John Medaille, in particular his book Toward a Truly Free Market. In the last 25 mins of the lecture, we begin the discussion of the ethical questions surrounding War, Self-Defense and Capital Punishment.
